Aylesbury Ducks

Aylesbury Ducks

This excellent table bird originated in Aylesbury in the south of England and is believed to have come to Australia in the 1920's. It should not be confused with the more common Pekin duck being much more horizontal in carriage. It has a bright glossy plumage resembling satin and a pale pink or flesh coloured bill with orange feet. It is extremely rare in Australia.
